I was nominated by a friend of mine for that bizarre ice bucket trend everyone seems to be getting into these days to raise awareness of ALS (something this video does not do). Please remember to donate to your charity of choice for the whole matter and have fun with it. Yeah.

As per the directions, I now nominate Paul Giamatti, Ron Austar, and the Grinch. You have twenty-four hours, gentlemen. Ball’s in your court now.

When I was very, very young, my family showed me a movie called Mrs. Doubtfire. Having grown up on cartoons and being fascinated by voice acting and impressions, I was always blown away by Robin Williams’ ability to do all manner of those things and actually be hilarious in the process. Not to mention his incredible talents in dramatic acting. Robin Williams was a unique talent and he’s been an inspiration to me for years.

At the same time, the news of Robin Williams’ death should be seen as a cautionary tale of sorts. Williams suffered from depression which is a very real and very horrible disease, and if you’re suffering from it or you know someone else who’s suffering from it, please please please seek help. Depression may not be something that goes away forever, but it is something that can be brought down a peg with the proper help. There’s always somebody out there who cares, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Seek help. Don’t let it win.
